I met Michael Russell in Albany, NY during the 1980s, which he haunted on foot, with his guitar slung over his shoulder. In opposition to motor vehicle transportation he walked the 35 miles to Cafe-Lena in Saratoga Springs, NY for gigs. This recording is taken from one such event. The date is unknown. All I can say is that he gave me the tape once when we were hanging out in the late '80s. If anyone knows whether he is alive or where he is, please let me know, michaelrussell AT thereitis.org.
